These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of Add to Calendar Links at add-to-calendar-links.com, including its event pages, application programming interfaces (APIs), and Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully before using the Service.
1. Provider and scope
The Service is provided by Calendarverse GmbH, Beta-Str. 10a, 85774 Unterföhring, Germany (“Calendarverse”, “we”, or “us”). Registration details and contact information are available in our Legal Notice.
These Terms apply to everyone who creates, accesses, or shares an event link, uses an API or MCP tool, or purchases an event upgrade (“User” or “you”). Mandatory rights, especially consumer rights, remain unaffected.
2. The Service
Add to Calendar Links lets you create a short URL for one event. Recipients can review the event and choose a compatible third-party calendar service. No account is required.
- Each link contains one immutable event configuration. To change event details, you must create a new link.
- Event links and associated event data are automatically deleted 12 months after creation, including upgraded events.
- Anyone who has the URL can access the event page. The Service is not intended for confidential or sensitive information.
- We do not undertake to archive event data or provide backups. You must retain your own copy of any information you need.
3. Formation of the agreement and eligibility
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization. You must have the legal capacity required under applicable law or use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
4. User content
You remain responsible for event titles, dates, locations, descriptions, links, and any other content you submit (“User Content”). You confirm that your User Content is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you are entitled to provide and share it, and that it does not violate applicable law or third-party rights.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, and transmit User Content only as necessary to provide, secure, and maintain the Service. This license ends when the User Content is deleted, except where continued retention is legally required.
Do not include confidential information, special categories of personal data, or another person’s personal data unless you have a lawful basis and the necessary authorization to share it through a publicly accessible link.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for its intended purpose and in compliance with applicable law. In particular, you must not:
- create or distribute unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, or harmful content;
- violate intellectual property, privacy, publicity, data protection, or other rights;
- use the Service for unsolicited bulk messages, malware, phishing, or other abusive activity;
- circumvent security or access controls, interfere with operation, or impose an unreasonable load on the Service;
- resell or commercially exploit the Service itself without our prior written permission; or
- reverse engineer the Service except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.
Automated use through the published APIs and MCP tools is permitted, provided it remains within their documented purpose and does not disrupt the Service.
6. Event upgrades and payment
An optional one-time event upgrade adds a server-rendered ICS file for broader calendar compatibility, adds dynamic social preview images, and removes Calendarverse and Add to Calendar PRO branding from that event page.
- The upgrade applies only to the event link and exact event configuration identified at checkout.
- It is not a subscription and does not extend the event’s 12-month lifetime.
- If you create a new link to change the event, the new link requires a separate upgrade.
The price, applicable taxes, and total charge are shown before you authorize payment. Paddle acts as the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for paid upgrades. Your purchase transaction is therefore also governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms and its Refund Policy. Paddle processes the payment and issues the receipt. If payment is refused, cancelled, refunded, or reversed, we may withhold or remove the upgrade.
7. Consumer withdrawal and refund rights
Consumers retain all mandatory withdrawal, cancellation, conformity, and refund rights under applicable law. Requests relating to a paid transaction should be submitted through Paddle Buyer Support, because Paddle is the seller of record. Any consent requested during checkout for immediate performance or supply of digital content, and its effect on a statutory withdrawal right, will be shown before purchase.
8. Third-party services
The Service connects to or depends on third-party products and services, including calendar providers, Add to Calendar Button, Cloudflare, and Paddle. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply. We do not control third-party availability, interfaces, content, or account behavior and cannot guarantee that every calendar action will work on every device, browser, application, or account configuration.
9. Availability and changes
We provide the Service with reasonable care but without a service-level commitment. Maintenance, security incidents, technical faults, force majeure, or changes made by calendar providers and other third parties may interrupt or alter it. We may modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service where reasonably necessary. Where required by law, we will give appropriate notice and respect any mandatory rights relating to paid services.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, text, trademarks, logos, and other content supplied by us or our licensors are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. Statutory exceptions and rights in your User Content remain unaffected.
11. Warranty and liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is unlawful. We remain liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence; injury to life, body, or health; claims under mandatory product liability law; guarantees we expressly give; and fraudulently concealed defects.
For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation whose performance is necessary for the proper execution of the agreement and on which you may ordinarily rely. In that case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of agreement. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
You are responsible for checking event details before sharing or saving them. We are not responsible for User Content or for failures caused by third-party calendar services, user devices, browsers, applications, or accounts, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Indemnification by Business Users
If you use the Service in connection with your trade, business, craft, or profession, you will indemnify us against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your culpable breach of these Terms, applicable law, or third-party rights. This does not apply to the extent we caused the claim.
13. Removal and suspension
We may block or delete User Content, event links, or access where we reasonably believe that these Terms, applicable law, or third-party rights have been violated; where required by an authority; or where necessary to protect Users, third parties, or the Service. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. Event pages are accessible to anyone who has the unique URL and are not private storage.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for future use of the Service to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. The current version and its effective date will be published here. Material changes affecting an existing paid agreement will be communicated as required by law. Changes do not apply retroactively unless the law permits and the affected User agrees.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of the country in which you habitually reside.
For merchants, legal entities under public law, and special funds under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Munich, Germany. Statutory rules on jurisdiction for consumers remain unaffected.
17. Final provisions and contact
If a provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. The applicable statutory rule takes the place of the invalid or unenforceable provision.
Questions, complaints, and legal notices may be sent using the details in our Legal Notice.
